District Remodel Lighting Project Request for Proposal (RFP)

 

Description of the District

The Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District (District) was created under Colorado State Statutes on April 29, 1958, by the District Court in Pueblo, Colorado. The District is governed by a board of fifteen court appointed directors serving four-year terms each. The District boundaries are made up of portions of nine counties; Bent, Chaffee, Crowley, El Paso, Fremont, Kiowa, Otero, Prowers, and Pueblo counties. The District is a local Government and is a tax-exempt entity. Upon notice to proceed tax exemption information will be provided to the chosen contractor. 

 

Purpose and Service Required

The purpose of the District Lighting Project is to replace all florescent indoor lighting fixtures with energy saving LED fixtures throughout the headquarters building. Office will include occupancy sensors and dimmable switches, 11 offices total. As indicated, on the drawings there will be 7-night light locations throughout the building.

Additional electrical requirements throughout the District building are as follows:

Interior:

1.   Replace current lighting with fixtures on attached cut sheets

2.   As indicated on the plan 7 nightlight fixtures should remain on at all times of day/unswitched

3.   Office 114 - 119 currently has 2 light switches. Add one switch and rearrange the switches to accommodate new office layout.

4.   Office 106 current 2 light switches. Rearrange switching to accommodate new office layout.

5.   Office 113-112 current 2 light switches. Rearrange switching to accommodate new office layout.

6.   Of the 11 offices to add diming, Office 116-117 will have different occupancy requirements

7.   Add 0/10 low voltage wire required for all 11 offices for dimming

8.   Remove tracking lighting in Board room

 

Exterior:

9.  Add one outdoor battery backup egress light above back entry door (north facing exterior entry door) photocell controlled

10 Repair/replace one outdoor electrical plug not working (south facing exterior, east of main entry door)

The contractor will be responsible for cleaning during and after this Project including but not limited to vacuuming, pickup, trash removal, old fixture haul away, etc. The District office will be open for business during the installation period, work hours are Monday – Friday 7:30am to 4:30 pm.

District headquarters building plans and cut sheets are attached. The District will require additional material such as switches, switch cover, fixtures, miscellaneous wire, etc. Contractor will be required to match the existing color in the building. Chosen contractor will warranty all installation and material manufacture warranty from 12 months from the final acceptance and payment of the Project. All drywall corrections indicated new ceiling tiles, and painting will be the responsibility of the District.

(Upon award of contract daily start time could be adjusted)

District Headquarters will be closed on the following days:

  • November 24 and 25, 2022
  • December 23 and 26, 2022

 

Proposal Content

The District is looking for a total firm fixed cost to complete the above Lighting Project within the project timeline listed.

Contractors are welcome to contact the below administrator via email at the District regarding specific inquiries to create the most accurate proposal. All inquiries will be answered and supplied to all contractors that attend the mandatory walk though. Firms are requested to provide proposals to the District by October 21, 2022, by 3:00pm. This RFP is issued by the District.
